RVL Coloured Mortar

RVL Colored Mortar is made of organic color substances that are not hazardous to health, and water-based, which makes applying and finishing easier. RVL Colored Mortar gives the user a lightweight, weather resistant, lime-resistant and maintenance-free product. Our additive through colors the concrete, so even though it is damaged or worn, the colors will remain unchanged. Designers, builders and architects use RVL Coloured Mortar to increase the attractiveness and marketability of residential and business development.

RVL colored mortar gives a translucent and extremely weather resistant surface. It can be used indoors and outdoors.

 

A complete system!

RVL coloured mortar-system requires just added water to get a ready to use mixture. One application and the surface is finished. If the paint technique “slurrying” is applied, tow applications is recommended.

Extremely weatherproof

Coloured through, water-repellent, breathable and elastic. It provides a surface that is extremely weatherproof throughout all the seasons. It remains just as pretty decade after decade, even in a demanding Nordic climate.

Extremely good adhesion

Becouse RVL coloured mortar has an extremely good adhesion, you don’t have to brush the surface first. That means time and labor saved.

Slurry and plaster of facades and foundations

Product
Slurry using a cement based RVL coloured mortar gives a waterresistant, breathable, coloured through surface on brick andconcrete. RVL coloured mortar is added to RVL liquid colourpigments and water.

Area of use
Outdoors and indoors on a surface such as plaster, concrete, lightclinker, brick and similar brickwork.

Foundation
The surface must be free of dust, loose particles, grease etc.Every single substrate must be primed.

Application
  • For applying use a grass brush/ masonry brush.
  • Minimum two coats to achieve a water-repellent surface.
  • The second coat is applied once the first coat has set.
           Min. 24 hours.
  • A good brushable mixture ( not too runny) provides the
           best result.
  • Avoid hot surfaces or strong sunlight during application.
  • Lowest temperature + 6º C.
  • RVL coloured mortar has a very good adhesion and
           colour retention.
  • Can be slurried directly onto light clinker.

Adulteration
RVL coloured mortar for slurrying adds 3-4 liters of water per 15 kgof mortar. If the mixture is to be applied with grass brush for effect,structure polished or applied otherwise, the amount of water isadjusted accordingly. Use a drill and a whisk. Let the mixture restfor a few minutes before use.Substrates with varied suction and uneven drying can cause colourdifferences. On continous surfaces it is recommended to usemortar from the same production series.

Consumption
- Slurry: 1-2 kg/m2 pr coat
- Plaster: 3-5 kg/m2
- Spraying: 3-5 kg/m2

DryingThe surface must be free of dust, loose particles, grease etc.Every substrate must be primed.StorageRVL coloured mortar and colour additives are stored dry andfrost-free up to 2 years.

Cleaning
SINCE RVL IS WATER-BASED, ALL CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS WILL BE VERY EASY AS A USER WILL ONLY USE WATER FOR CLEANING.

RVL colored mortar comes in different colors adapted to Nordic and European traditions and trends. Other colors are delivered on order.

Taking care of your building
